Peppermint Bark Meringues! ❄️✨

Ingredients:

2 Egg whites 

1/4 tsp cream of tartar 

1/4 salt 

1/2 cup powdered sugar 

1/2 tsp peppermint extract (optional)

Or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 

Directions:

Add the egg whites, cream of tartar and salt to an electric mixer and mix on medium until you see a slight puff then slowly add in the powdered sugar (about 1 spoon at a time) and mix until you get stiff peaks.  Add small little dollops with a large spoon to a parchment paper or add to a piping bag/plastic bag and squeeze gently to create a little kiss. Bake for around 1 1/2 hours at 225. I had to bake mine for 1hr 45 min. 

Then turn off heat and let rest in the over for another 1-2 hrs.

Lasty, dip in some melted chocolate and crushed candy canes and let it set for 30min to 1 hour. ENJOY! 🎄💛✨
